2. Path A: The Removable-Pack Swap (60 Seconds)

- Remove every bottom screw. Count them into a tray in the position they came from. HP mixes 2โ3 lengths.

- Reconnect the battery and close up. Push the connector in until it clicks. Snap the cover on, then return the screws to their original holes.
In my experience, step 5 decides whether the job succeeds. A connector pulled by its wires tears pins out of the board, and that repair costs more than the battery. Grip plastic, pull straight, and the rest of the job goes smoothly.

EliteBook and OMEN put every screw in plain sight. Pavilion hides two under the rear feet. Spectre mixes Torx and Phillips heads and hides two under the front strip.
