How should I store my DJI drone battery when not in use?

Store Lithium-Polymer (LiPo) drone batteries at a charge between 20% and 80%. Keeping them at 100% or 0% for long can cause swelling and damage. Store them at room temperature with a charge level of around 50-60%. Our smart batteries have an auto-discharge feature. This slowly drains the battery to a safe storage level after a few days of inactivity.

What should I do if my drone battery starts to swell?

If a LiPo battery shows any signs of swelling (puffing), stop using it immediately. A swollen battery is dangerous. It can start a fire, damage your drone’s internal parts, and may even pop out during flight, leading to a crash. Safely discharge and dispose of swollen batteries at a local battery recycling center.
