Turn a charger over and you'll see a row of little logos — CE, FCC, maybe RoHS, UL, or ETL. Most people's eyes slide right past them. But these marks are the closest thing you have to X-ray vision into a charger you can't open: they tell you, at a glance, whether an independent body tested it for the hazards that actually matter. Here's what each one certifies, and why a charger missing all of them deserves a hard pass.

CE — the safety baseline
The CE mark declares that the product meets the EU's directives for safety, health, and environmental protection. FCC — keeping the airwaves clean

Why a charger with none of these is a red flag
